4 days in the Dolomiti di Brenta

Day 1: Rifugio Vallesinella to Rifugio Casinei
Take the shuttle bus from Madonna di Campiglio to rifugio Vallesinella. Hike through the forest to Rifugio Casinei (1825 m) via the the Vallesinella waterfalls. This is a beautiful section along wooden bridges and cascades of the Sarca di Vallesinella- 3,3 km, 2:00, ↑ 330 m. Level: T2








Day 2: Rifugio Casinei to Rifugio Alimonta
Hike from Rifugio Casinei to Rifugio Alimonta – 2405 m) – 5,8 km, around 4 hours, ↑ 800 m, ↓ 50 m. Level T2/T3.
From Rifugio Casinei, you’ll follow trail 318 (often called ‘Sentiero Bogani’). This path ascends diagonally above the tree line, reaching a fork at the “bivio Valle del Fridolin” (around 2,043 m). The route here is a mix of gentle sections and steeper, more rugged sections. At some parts the path is hewn into the rock, crossed by footbridges, and even passing through a couple of short tunnels. The trail brings you to a scenic panoramic platform on the right side of Val Brenta Alta, where . Here, you’ll see Rifugio ai Brentei.
From Rifugio ai Brentei you continue along trail 323 toward Rifugio Alimonta. This part of the hike becomes noticeably steeper. The route eventually leads you into the Conca degli Sfulmini—a narrow, rocky amphitheater that frames the Brenta Dolomites’ needle-like formations. Rifugio Alimonta itself is perched on a narrow ledge, offering 360‑degree panoramic views.










Day 3: Rifugio Alimonta To Rifugio Fox Tuckett
Hike from Rifugio Alimonta To Rifugio Fox Tuckett (6 km, 4 hours, ↑ 300 m, ↓ 600 m, level T2/T3).
From Rifugio Alimonta, hike back down to Rifugio ai Brentei. As you descend, you’ll be treated to stunning panoramic views of the Brenta Dolomites. The trail offers dramatic vistas of sheer rock faces and spire-like formations, with expansive alpine meadows and a clear view of peaks such as Torre di Brenta and Cima Tosa in the distance. Hike on to Rifugio Fox Tuckett.








Day 4: Rifugio Fox Tuckett to Rifugio Stoppani
Hike from Rifugio Fox Tuckett to Rifugio Stoppani, where you take the gondola back to Madonna di Campiglio (4 km, 5 hours, ↑ 250 m, ↓ 100 m, 2-2,5 hour, level T2)
