4 day trek in the Karwendel with longer daily distances

Day 1: Pertisau – Gramaialm – Lamsenjochhütte (1953 m) – 12,6 km, 6 hours, ↑ 1000 m, level: T2
Starting in the lakeside village of Pertisau, you’ll follow a well-marked trail that winds through the Falzthurntal Valley. The route initially ascends gently along forested paths and open meadows before reaching Gramaialm. From Gramaialm, the trail steepens as you head toward the Lamsenjochhütte, a classic mountain hut in the Karwendel.
Day 2: Lamsenjochhütte – Falkenhütte (1848 m) – 11,9 km, 6 hours, ↑ 800 m, ↓ 900 m, level: T2.
Leaving the Lamsenjochhütte the trail meanders over rocky ridges and through alpine meadows. After the higher sections, you’ll gradually descend toward Falkenhütte.
Day 3: Falkenhütte – Karwendelhaus – 8,8 km, 4,5 hours, ↑ 420 m, ↓ 500 m. Level: T2
Starting at Falkenhütte, the trail gently climbs and then eases into a mild descent as you approach Karwendelhaus. This part of the trek is characterized by a combination of rocky paths, small forest sections, and open alpine terrain.
Day 4: Karwendelhaus – Scharnitz – 16,4 km, 5 hours, ↓ 800 m. Level: T2.
The final day is a long but predominantly downhill journey from Karwendelhaus to the town of Scharnitz.
The trail here is wide and well-marked, cutting through a mix of dense forest and open valley sections.
Travel time between Scharnitz and Pertisau: around 3 hours (via Innsbrück). Take the train to Jenbach and bus 8332 to Pertisau.
